Relaxing,
relaxing, and just a little more relaxing...
This is the norm here
in paradise, sportsman's paradise, that is. However, if
activity is on your agenda, the waters that
surround Louisiana's only inhabited barrier island are some of
the richest and most productive fishing grounds in the world.
The offshore waters abound with Marlin, Tuna, Sailfish, Wahoo,
Amberjack, Snapper, Cobia, and other highly prized species.
Inshore waters teem with spotted and white trout, redfish, black
drum, sheepshead, flounder, and more.
Knowing where to fish,
what to use for bait and when to fish are key considerations in
filling your limit. Always try to fish when there is a moving
tide, falling or rising tides are mostly one's own preference.
Bait should include live croakers, shrimp and minnows for
Trout. Cut mullet and cracked crabs for Bull Reds &
Drum. Spring and Summer should find trout on the beaches and
over oyster reefs. Bull Reds and Drum are stacked in the
passes.

Some weekends, live
bait can be scarce so plan ahead and purchase your needs
early. A list of Marinas, Bait Shops, Restaurants and other
businesses are posted in the camp.
Both camps are located
on a deep water canal. Both can accommodate the docking of
several boats. Property is completely bulkheaded and all
ground is concrete slab. Fish cleaning tables are available at
each camp. Don't forget
the Crabs. Crabbing is unbelievable and you are welcome to use
the traps in the storage area. Best bait's are freshly
cleaned fish carcasses and /or frozen poggies. Please, if
you use the crab traps remember to retrieve them from the water
and return them to storage are. A BBQ pit is located in
storage area as well.
Camps are located next
to one another making it convenient for large groups. Our
location is prime, so early booking is essential. Thanks for
your interest.
